Ummmm ok, an update

Holy crap, I have been busy. Almost caught up with the orders for wallets - just one more to go. Then ten pads for TR, 2 nappy bags and the WC pad order. It's a lot of work and I'm exhausted, but can't stop yet.

Miss kitty has to go to the vet today... $101 later, I have a box of antibiotics and a tube of cream for her eye infection, but still not exactly sure what is the cause of the infection, or the weird behaviour yesterday. Even after a few hours it seems to be looking better, so fingers crossed we don't have to go back cause I spent the money I had for my ISP/phone bill on todays appointment. Oppps. As much as I love having no flatmate, the no money thing that comes with it is tough.

Anyway, work is calling.

I knew this would happen!

I've been thinking for a week or two that I should start this blog. And now, here I am trying to write the first post and I'm not sure what to write.

I'm incredibly busy at the moment with work. I have cloth pads to make, and wallets to make, and nappy bags to make. Then on top of that, I'm having the urge to knit or crochet. And on top of that, I want to make something cute for a friends brand new baby. And I want to make soap. And paper. And clothes.

It's weird when your 'hobby' becomes your job. My non-work stuff is really the same as my work stuff, so I'm kind of constantly working - even when I'm not working. I think that is part of the reason I'm feeling a bit strung out at the moment. That, and the fact that I can't remember when I last had a proper day off. My days off at the moment are usually spent at the doctors or orthodontist, or running around getting supplies, or posting things, or doing all the other errands I need to do. It's not exactly relaxing!

Unfortunately, I don't have time for a day off at the moment so I'm just going to have to put up with being exhausted. Luckily I like what I do, so it's not too hard to make myself 'work'. I'm just not quite sure at the moment how I'm going to get everything done in the time it needs to be done.

But that is boring. So, what am I making... Well I mentioned that above - cloth pads, wallets and nappy bags. The wallets are going well and I quite enjoy making them. The nappy bags are a labour of love and I don't pay myself well enough for them. Pads... well, they are my main income, so I just do them. I quite like it when I'm doing it - just getting started can be hard. But there is plenty of demand to keep me motivated.

As I also mentioned, I really have the knitting/crochet bug at the moment. I want to make amigurumi toys, and baby clothes, and baby shoes... Anything really. It's a shame that I'm not very good at either knitting or crochet, that I can't read a pattern, and that it takes me sooooo long. I'm trying hard to ignore this urge cause I already have too much to do. It would be good 'time off' though!

Oh, other things I want to make... Aprons, more kids clothes, handbags. There seriously is not enough days in the week.

Hey, I just realised, for someone who couldn't think of much to say, I've written quite a lot! And I have thought of a good topic for my next post! Fabric!! What I love; what I want to get; Where I know there is good stuff etc etc.
